Hello all!
I'd like to start breeding my goldfish next spring. I have what I guess could be considered an albino comet (all white, red eyes) female and a male fantail. My male was ready to breed this past spring since his tubercles were very easy to spot. The tubercles scared me at first because I didn't know what they were and thought he had some strange disease. Anywho, Their currently in my 20 long keeping company with a pleco and some ghost shrimp.
The first and most important question. Can I breed two different gold fish? I have been told that most goldfish can interbreed, but I just want to double check.
Should I removed the pleco and shrimp before attempting to breed the goldies?
Where is the best place to find information about breeding and setting up the right habitat for them?
Do I really have to remove the fry when they breed?
I just remembered that I have two tiny guppy fry in the tank that the goldfish don't bother, however I do have a lot of plant life to keep them safe. (I often forget their in there because they are so small. They just appeared one day, after my guppies had passed.)
Thanks for your help everyone!
Much love!
