I bought some plants in February. In April, I saw two snails on the glass and removed them with a net. In the last couple of weeks, I've found two more.
That's certainly not a lot. Is it possible that I've gotten them all, or is my once snail-free aquarium doomed to forever have snails in its future?
I don't mind netting a snail or two a month, but the stories I've read of snails over-running tanks has me worried and wondering if there's something I should be doing proactively to prevent an explosion.

Thanks,

First, in healthy numbers, snails are no bad thing, since they do a sterling job cleaning up your tank. Secondly, if you feed your fish very lightly, you'll not have a snail population explosion. I don't know what fishes you are keeping, but light feeding a couple times a day will prevent nutrient levels getting to the point where you have too many snails.
