I bought a three head frag of green duncans about 3 or 4 months ago at that time, the heads were about 1". It took them about 2 months to get settled in the tank, but as soon as they were, they started growing 2 new heads. After about 1 to 2 months, these new heads are about 1/2 the size of the orginals.

I would say they grow pretty fast when they start getting happy

I'm looking forward to watching my purple / blue duncans grow now

Cool cool they sound pretty comparable to zoas then, not as fast growing but the same idea haha

the purple/blue combo sounds like a good one man! I was looking at the green ones but if I find a purple and blue one I'll definitely get that up since I already have a green zoa colony

I love my Aussie Duncans. They are fast growers. It does take them a little while to adapt to the tank, but once they do, they will be putting out heads like crazy.

Iíve found the best coloured ones come from Australia.

If you can find a store that has suppliers there, you should be able to get some pretty good ones

Did either of you guys get them online? Or did you both get them from your LFS??

Got mine from my LFS.

Here's what it looked like back in April shortly after I got it. It looks much better now.

I'm really spoiled by have a excellent SW LFS in our city. I buy all my corals from them. I'm too much of a chicken to by corals on line

Mybe phone around to find a SW LFS that carrys them. You could also try reef clubs. Might be able to get a frag or two if someone has access to a coral saw

We have a 15-20 large polyp Duncan colony. I love it but ours has been a slow grower. We bought it from a local reefer.

Here's ours back last November

I've spot feed mine a high quality marine pellet food. Just one or two pellets eat feeding, and I feed about once a week.

I give mine Mysis. I haven't fed every week, but now with my large Frogspawn and large Torch, they will all be getting target fed weekly.
