I am not sure as to how this forum works, so bear with me seeing I already wrote something, but in the introduce yourself area. I have found baby leech's in my aquarium and was wondering how I can get rid of them.

Is there any way to post a picture. You may have flat worms and not leaches.

I would be willing to bet that it is planaria (flat worms) they are caused by over feeding. Cut back on your feeding and give your gravel a good solid vacuming. Eventually they should starve to death.

p.s. Don't post the same thread twice. If it is the wrong forum the mods will move it.

If its on a rock or something, take it out of the aquarium and use a lighter or a match to burn the leech off (this is a great trick if you ever get a leech). If its on a fish, carfully peel the leech off. If he wont come off, use a match or lighter to burn his backside, that will make him let go.

Thank you very much for informing me about these flat worms or planaria. I did a study on the internet and have compared the two and it does look like planaria's. i took my decorations out of the tank that had them attached and gave them a good scrub down...turn out that I also had iddy biddy little ones unable to view by just the eye. Thank you for your help.
