brine shrimp tank

Okay so I'm going to have two 10 gallon tanks to spare...

I wanted to dedicated them to breeding foods for my fish..

So how would I set it up? I went to my lfs and I saw that they just had 2 buckets with an extremely strong air stone running in it thrashing the brine shrimp around. Is this all I need?

What do brine shrimp eat? And are they salt water or fresh?
