I took this quick shot of him the other day. It's somewhat dark, but shows his blue well. He is easily at 12" now and getting brighter by the day! He is also becoming much more aggressive as he grows.

I love his baby picture!

So that's a dovii... I've heard references to them, but I've never known what kind of fish they were. He's very pretty ^^

Thanks everyone! I love this fish!

He is an F1 Rio Heredia, Costa Rican "Gold" Dovii. Both parents were wild caught in Rio Heredia.

He eats anything that falls in his tank, but his staple is Omega, NLS, and Hikari pellets. He also gets the occasional shrimp, smelt, silverside, raw squid, etc. I've been very impressed with his growth rate!

I would love to have a Dovii, but I haven't seen them for sale in my area(Philly) for quite a while. Would have it as a lone specimen in a 90 gal.

What a difference! Doesn't even look like the same species, does it?
