Well, I went and bought the 20g long yesterday but the lady had already emptied it when I went out to pick it up. She said her mother took the fish for her tank. It had been listed for quite a while on Craig's so I guess she just couldn't wait to get rid of it. (I can't imagine that  ) I guess I worried about all that fish dumping for no reason. Oh well.
So I got a whole set up and it was really pretty clean. She apparently liked to clean because she has 3 different tube brushes to clean out the filter tubes. I took all the stuff outside and scrubbed and washed it out with plain water. Now its out there baking in the hot Texas sun for a while. I rinsed the gravel and spread it to dry in the sun too. She had the exact same brown gravel that I just put in my 10g so it will be quite easy to seed the new tank for cycling.
Not sure when I'll get started setting it up. I need to move the 10g out of the spot where the 20g will be going first. I was thinking of draining most of the water into my 5g water change bucket and then net my fish and put them in there temporarily then drain off more water until I can move the tank on a to a piece of plywood and transport it to another spot in the house. Then just return the water to the tank and put the fish back in. I just did a 30% water change yesterday so I don't think I should do another just a couple days after. Does that make sense?
I'm totally stoked about finally finding a long tank but I'm gonna take it slow and set this one up as carefully as possible. Maybe I can avoid some of the problems I've had with the 10g. We'll see.
