looks like I'll be moving again, and just for a semester. makes fishkeeping an inconvenient hobby for a student such as myself. co-op too, which means relocating as often as every 4 months sometimes. does anybody have tips for successfully moving small-med tanks? I used to transport a 10 gal hex by... well, carrying it full of water and 1 fish. it was heavy, boy. also probably ran the risk of the bottom falling out. anyhow that went fine through 5 moves until it got a crack from packing it up too tight.
this time I'm trying to move a 20 gal high though... the plan is to drain all the water, saving 25% to 50% in a jerry can(s) and replacing the rest when I get there. fish will be transported in a 5 gal tank. any thoughts or suggestions?
