Been a while since I reported in, but 29 gallon is doing great. I have 8 danios, 5 Female Rosies and 1 male rosie (he loves his harem), and just dropped in two chinese algae eaters.

Holy cow! I let the algea build up a bit, had some brown, had some green, even let it build up on the front glass, then dropped those boys in. They have eaten all the algea in 3 days!

Apparently they have a touch for reason, as they hit the front of the tank first, cleaning that up nicely, then hit the filter intake and got all the gunk off that. Then they worked over the sides and then finally the back of the tank. Now they are working on the castle and the plants.

I bought algea pellets for them incase they run out. I should have got just one, but I figured the algae was growing pretty darn fast, well, not fast enough for these bad boys.

I was so stoked, I went and bought a 10 gallon tank for the bottom of the cabinet, as that was the biggest one I could fit down there. I have it cycling, and will drop in something in there, not sure what, but will take the smaller algea eater, and put him down there once the tank is completely cycled.

I also went and bought an AquaClear filter for the 29 gallon. It is so much quieter than the Marineland wheel filter I had, almost no motor noise, but keeps up very well with the filtration, actually a bit better. I am going to get a 2nd to put on that tank, as I can always use more filtration. Just incase one goes, I have a backup already running.

I've got my saltwater tank up with saltwater in it. I have it cycling atm. I went ahead and started it, because I feel a lot more comfortable now.

I got an AC filter recently too! I love it. Mine started out a bit loud but its really quiet now. I guess it got a little out of whack in shipping. It sure keeps the water nice and clean.

Sounds like you got a bit of the ol' MTS going on!
