Hi All

Seachem online has their compositions of Flourites. See attached pdf link.

http://www.seachem.com/support/GravelMineralComposition.pdf

Can some one let me know for the following plants what would be the best choice of Flourite so that the plants get the maximum minerals.

Sagittaria - Dwarf/Giant/Narrow Leaf
Anubias Barteri
Java - Fern / Narrow Leaf
Egeria - Densa / Nagas
Vallisneria - Giant / Common
Java Moss
Green Cabomba

Thanks

It comes down to personal preference moreso than anything else, I use the original Flourite mixed with Eco-Complete and have great results. Others like the black sand, or black Flourite. The plants you have listed get most of their nutrients from the water column, the Vals and Sag will however benefit from the addition of some root tabs as well. The sand does have the lowest nutrient content and sand is prone to compacting sometimes...I would choose one of the fractured clay versions. You can mix them as well.
