If you want something suitable for a 29 I have several proven pairs of cutteri and a pair of Honduran red points available. Either will spawn and raise their fry in a 29, though the tank will become crowded as the fry grow. IME cutteri are relatively easy to get along with in a community tank too. A spawning pair will claim about 12-18" of floorspace, but don't go ballistic and kill anything that ventures too close.
