Replace carbon with.....?

Hello folks. I have a Rena xp1 and need 2 know what's the best media to use. It comes with bio stars, micro filtration pad, filtration pad 30ppi, and bio chem zorb crystals. What is the best media that is recommended to use? Only been using the xp1 about 2 weeks and I keep reading folks don't use carbon unless they r removing meds. Thanks

I use the noodles, pads and filter floss in my Renas.

I have nothing but Biomax and sponges in all of my filters

Your bio stars are the same thing. Just a media for bacteria to grow on.
