Hello all,
I know this may be the millionth stocking question on this forum, but when you get the great advice and suggestions from you all I just have to ask.

I have a 29gal that I am slowly building up. I have built a sump for it out of an old 10gal(just waiting on a pump). I plan to build a 3d background and try some hydroponics on top and lightly planted throughout. As you can see this is just my fun experiment tank. But I still want to put some fish in it. I want alot of color and alot of action. As for now the only thing that has to be in there is 2 bovarian rams from my 55gal. My thoughts for this tank orginally was for a few angels but some of the kind here advised me away from that. So now I am thinking;
2-bovarian rams
2-german blue rams
6-guppies or platies
6-small schooling fish
and some sort of bottom feeder maybe corys.

So what do you all think, too much not enough. I am open to suggestions like I said before I just want alot of action and color as long as it fits that bill I am open to anything. That being said this isnt my first rodeo so it doesnt have to be some easy beginner fish I like a challenge.

Thank you all in advance.

No angels. A 29 for one lone angelfish would be OK but not with your current fish. I think I would just leave it at a pair of rams and a group of small colorful fish. Cherry barbs are colorful and neat. No point in trying to put several species into one small tank.

What are your intentions for the 3 goldfish in that 29?

Im not talking weed lol. I am thinking peace lilys and duck weed. As for the angels I have already ruled them out. I know it wouldnt work. Oh and the gold fish hobbs are just growing out until I find or build a pond for them.
