how to post pictures, and how to choose an avatar?

If you want want to select a avitar, click on user CP. Its on the top row / menue on the left hand side. Find the option that says "edit Avitar". It will be in a list of options on the left hand side

Check under the UserCP at the top. All the options are there for your account including picking your avatar.
