Snakeskin Gourami questions.

I just bought a Snakeskin Gourami. I asked some people at my LFS who are very knowledgeable before buying it. While I am acclimating it, I am doing some research. There are conflicts on two issues.

1.) Will it eat up my planted tank? Some say yes, some say no.

2.) Will it eat the fry of other fish? Same.

I have a lot of experience with this fish. I have not found it to be a herbivore but don't have experience with the fish in a tank with fry. Like most gouramis I would think it would predate upon the fry.

Snakeskin Gourami are omnivores. Mine get Blanched Lettuce at least 1 time a week. and they love it. They did nip at my plants before I started feeding them lettuce. Mine r about 4 inch now to young for them to breed. I have read they will not eat fry. won't no this till they have fry
