Mine is real skittish. Are they always going to be this way or is it because it is new? My fish have already went to check it out and everything. It went from a like 5 gallon to a 55 also may be the shock.

Just so you know, the kissing is aggression.

I cant remember who coined the phrase on here, but is sounds like big tank syndrome.
They were probobly the biggest fish in their other tank, but now, they moved to a huge tank, and they think that they might not be the biggest fish, or they might be there for food. Usually these feelings subside after a day or two, when they have time to check out the tank for any possible dangers.

Its kinda like their lips are hands - you can use your hands to slap someone upside the head to assert dominance - or pet your dog to show affection - or rub some sandpaper to see how it feels.
Your new little buddy really can't interact with anything except for his lips

Ok, yea, he was in a little bitty tank before. He has calmed down and loves tetraalgae flakes.
