Where was this 2 months ago?

Great deal Lady Hobbs and if I didn't just pick up 50 RCS I would be PMing you.
Do you have any other types of shrimp?

Do you ship to Australia? lol (just kidding of course!!)

I've just got one lonely little cherry shrimp at the moment. His friend "disappeared" about 2 months ago. Since then I have removed the villainous fish, so shrimp will be safe from now on. Want to get more shrimp sometime.... not TOO many as they're about $3 each here.

Lady Hobbs, What fish do you keep them with?
I am thinking it would be nice to add some to my tank that has neon tetras and sparkling gouramis. Do you think they would be ok?

When I first got them, I thought the neons were eating them. But I have them with :

1..... Blood parrots in a tank
2..... Stupid guppies and neons
3..... rasbora, tetra, BN, more stupid guppies, cherry barbs and an angel fish

I suppose some might get eaten but the darned shrimp reproduce so fast that I wouldn't be able to tell.

lol. I called a local pet store and they gave me a lecture on how you can't keep them with fish!

Plus they are charging $4.00 a shrimp!

Ugh!! I REALLY wish I had hung onto my 20G long setup. I kick myself for not making it a shrimp tank.

This is a safe rule of thumb. I had a Betta whipe out most of mine. After several months I finally have good numbers again. This was in a planted tank too. As with any combo...it may work for some and not others.

Lady Hobbs,

Have you ever had any problems shipping to canada?

Never have shipped to Canada and I would think with customs and all that nonsense it wouldn't be worth it to a buyer. I would rather not, really.

If you would part with a smaller quantity say 10, I would gladly take some off your hands. I have been looking to make my 2G cube a shrimp tank but its not large enough to start out with 20 IMO.

Most sources that I read only mention red cherry shrimp being safely kept with otocinclus. I have kept them in tanks with 'tetras' with mixed success, there is predation but the colony somewhat survives. I keep mine with small rasboras (under an inch in size) and they do alright. So basically your success will vary. To get the best survival rate and population growth would be best to go with a shrimp only tank.

I had black skirt tetra's wipe mine out a few years ago. Only saving grace now, I'm sure, is the tanks are loaded with plants.

How many do you have left, Lady Hobbs? I'm interested, but given that it's already Wednesday afternoon, I'm inclined to wait until Monday (or really, Sunday) to order them so they're not stuck in shipping limbo over the weekend. That possible? I would imagine the Michigan-New York run would be at least three days.

3 days coming this way from NY but it's already 4:30 so todays shipment has already gone. When I got my shrimp last winter, I was shocked they even made it. Their water was ice cold but all survived. I can send you some next Monday if you prefer.

Closing this thread for now to make sure I have enough to fill my current orders.

Thank you everyone.

Will the person who sent me money please PM me so I know who you are?
