Hi i am new at planted aquariums and i was wondering if this is an ok bulb or should i get an expensive one from the fish store.

A bulbs suitability for plant growth is dictated by it k rating.5700k to 10oook is the range that is useful with 6500k being ideal. Do you have an aquarium hood that uses the bulb in your link?

No but the kelvins are 3200 if thats what u mean by k

The bulb would be no use to plants then. With its low watt output it would be insufficient even with the correct spectrum. What size tank do you have and do you have a light fixture for it?

its a 10 gal and yes i have a fixture

With a 10gal a bulb that size in the correct k rate may grow plants.
