hehehe, now of course I'm not serious.... not really, at least.
I've noticed that when my female white molly swims up near the top of the tank, and toward the front, that with the light behind her I can see the dark shadows of her internal bits and pieces. lol I have another female, she's orange mottled with black, and I can see "through" her, too, but to a much lesser degree.
I've candled my canary eggs, and I can now (sort of) add my fish to the list of things I've candled. Anyone else ever candled their fish this way? :)
This is really interesting because just today I noticed just inside of where her vent is (sorry, vent for bird, not sure if it's also used for fish) the dark area looks a little different than it normally does, maybe a bit more distinct. I'm going to now google fish anatomy and do some research.... if this area increases gradually over the next few weeks I'll maybe be seeing some fry in the tank in the near future. The male in the tank, Elvis, has been courting both Pearl and Penelope. And if I'm REAL lucky, and a great photographer, I might be able to photograph this and get a kind of "ultrasound" lol. Would THAT win photo of the month?
