Hey Everyone, My name is John and I have had fish for years. I've always had freshwater and recently coldwater (gold fish and koi) I think saltwater would be pretty cool but to expensive for my blood. I'm doing some research into tetra. I am trying to decide if I can add more tetra to my 75 gallon tank to increase the school size. I've 9 different species with 3 or 4 of each. We'll see what happens. Enjoy the fourm and I'll catch you later.:22:

:fish: Thanks to all, seems to be a friendly and helpful place. I am computer challenged so as soon as I figure out how to download pics from my phone and post them I will. No, I don't have koi anymore but we bought a house and the koi pond is in the planing stages and will take awhile to get built but it will get built as it is a dream and koi are my faves. Yes, I do have alot of different species in my 'community take'. Is that not what makes it a community tank? Some I have had for many years, Pretty Boy my Synodontis is 15+ yrs, my 2 different species of Silver $'s are 10+ yrs, my pearl gouramis, rainbow shark, glass catfish and rummy nose are 5+ yrs. The rest have been added over the last two years. Although I could probably do better care, as a whole the fish I get tend to live for many yrs. So now I have dicided to try to get a true school of tetra going and figure out the best way to go about it, the conversion of a community to tetra school and where the balance betweet the two are. I know that my Silver $'s will eat plants so that just means I need for figure out which ones they won't eat and which ones they will like and be a healthy treat for them. :fish:
