My Kribs have lain eggs. I don't think I will have any babies yet, this is their first batch. It was neat though, this is the first time I have had Kribs lay eggs where I could see. They are doing a great job taking care of the eggs, I just worry about what will happen when the lights go out (that pleco time, lol).

Everything was fine with the kribs until I fed the tank this morning. Apparently, the Yo Yo Loach is impervious to Krib bites. He got into where the eggs were and thrashed around and really ticked the kribs. The female Krib had eggs stuck to her back and most of the eggs were eaten. I rescued some, but I don't think I will get any babies from this batch. The female is guarding the remaining eggs and they are now where the loach can't get them (I hope this will teach them to pick a better spot next time). I keep you updated on how it goes.

I'm still optimistic! The ones that are left will be the toughest out of the bunch and will grow up to be yoyo loach chasing biker kribs!

I hope some make it. Those loaches really go for the eggs. My angel has a problem keeping them away from hers, as well, and REALLY has a time with the Silver Dollars. Good thing I don't want more.

No Kriblets. I guess the eggs didn't hatch, or the parents ate them. They didn't guard very well. I have given them a few secure breeding sites now that I know they are ready (pleco and loach proof). We'll see how they do with the next batch.
