HAVE PUT THIS POST IN ANOTHER FORUM AS IN WRONG ONE, SORRY!!
Hi, not a complete beginner but am new on here and from the UK so thought would say hi and see if you guys are friendlier than some sites I've been on in the UK!! Have had tropicals since a child but the little ones we all have initially. Now getting into the big boys!! I need some advice on my tank, contents and suggestions on where to go from here. Tank is 550 litres. Substrate - mixed grade gravel. Bogwood and Java Fern. Fluval FX5 filter (which contrary to advice has been great!!).
Have a real mixture of fish:
2 x Oscars (one tiger one albino) approx 8"
2 x Severums (one green one gold) approx 6"
2 x Firemouths approx 3"
2 x Synspilums approx 3"
4 x Convicts approx 4"
2 x Plecs approx 10"
1 x Arowana approx 8"
2 x Nicaraguas approx 3"
2 x Peacock Cichlids approx 2" (not sure on the name, are yellowish with blue heads, think these are Malawis but was ill advised)
So,any thoughts? All get on fine although expect there are too many living together for them to establish any real terratories and start arguing! Not sure which way to go - my Arowana is my "feature" fish who's great although getting too big to keep hand feeding!!
