parrot chiclids!!

I have a two parrots in my tank!! one of them keeps on hitting the other one!!
doesnt let him swim about freely.. always stuck in one corner! just bought them yesterday!! and he bagan picking on him since last night!!
Help!! what should i do!!

Probably need to return one of them. The abused fish will get little to eat and will eventually die. You can try rearranging the tank or adding more spots for the abused fish to hide.

Are you talking blood parrots because they are not the same as parrot cichlids.

If talking blood parrot, this is normal. They can not bite and fight as others cichlids so simply bump at one another. Do as rich has mentioned by changing the tank around so it's new to both of them. The bumper is simply telling the other one he is the alpha of the tank and the one in charge. Also, make sure you don't have them in too small of a tank. I have 5 in my 55 and they all love each other and like groupings but they also need room and hiding places.

What size tank do you have? aggression issues are always made worse by a smaller tank. There is no room for the fish to escape each other
