Isnt it funny how you, who sees your fish everyday, hardly notice them growing?
I bought my green severum (bruce) about 2 months ago (i think). I thought he had grown a little, maybe a half an inch. Boy was i wrong. I went to the LFS the otherday with a friend out of boredom, and i went over to their severum tanks. It turns out Bruce has grown about an inch and a half, and i didnt even realize it!
Its amazing.

I felt the same way with my loaches. Altho they are still only 3 inches at a year old, they look like dots in the store. Mine look huge next to them.

My tiger barbs are exactly the same, they are small compared to what they will get to at full size but compared with in the store massive!

In my community tank, i have some parrots, Those were my first fish and i still have them, My first fish tank was an 86 gallon. hahah! so i had alot of parrots since i loved the way they looked. I baught them when they were about 2 inches, i took pictures, now they are like 6 inches. I didnt notice a change since it was like 3 years. But i was looking at some pictures on my computer and i saw some of the pictures i had took. I was like huhh. wow they grew alot!!!

Same with mine - my sharks and angel are just plain huge - but my little loach buddies still look tiny to me!

My oscar started out about 2.5 inches a couple months ago. He's about 5.5 now, but he still looks teeny to me.

They will never grow in our eyes. They will still be our little babies.
