Temp 78
KH 8
Nitrates near Zero
DIY Co2, keeping Co2 Test in Green ( good )

Substrate Specs ( fresh not reused )

Lighting is about 2 watts per gallon 10k bulb + 6500 Colormax red spectrum... 48" light ballast with Lunar lights 24 hour cycle


Heres the issue Tank Cycled for 3-4 weeks no fish or plants..

1 week ( week 5 ) with plants listed below
Anubias Nana Petite ( Doing well showing signs of Growth/ rooting )
Rotala nanjenshan ( Doing ok , Some stems not taking well but thats to be expected)
Vesuvius-Sword ( Doing well showing signs of Growth 1" growth )
Christmas Moss ( Doing well showing signs of Growth / bushing out )


Dwarf Baby Tears (Hemianthus callitrichoides) ( looked awesome first 4-5 days now turning yellow and appear to be dieing)

Not sure what to do, I did dose tank with Kent Pro-Plant with a low to moderate dose..

Quite frankly, you have an insufficient amount of light. First, 10,000K is too blue of a light for proper photosynthesis. Second, you'd need at least four watts per gallon for that plant. What you want are bulbs in the 6500 to 6700K range.

The reason that plant looked good for some days is that they are grown emersed for some time before being offered for sale.

So, double your light level with proper spectrum bulbs.

My fixture is a dual ballast

Should I swap the 10k out for a 6500k or 6700k, theres is already one 6500k bulb in there?

and / Or

Whats a good alternative to HC for a spreading foreground cover, cheaper to change plants that fixtures at this point.
