Had a few betta's before now but this is my first crown tail. Definitely my favorite so far! He seems happy in his little home. Im running a 27w light with a layer of soil under the substrate for carbon. Im hoping for a nice healthy carpet of dwarf baby tears eventually. :ssmile: For filtration im running a red sea nano, its an excellent little filter, very quite and I can slow the flow down to betta happy levels.

And fwiw the neon is only in their temporarily as I dont have anywhere to put him right now, I plan on assembling a school for him in a bigger tank shortly.

I love the "seamless-ness" of the new tanks. It's almost like not having a tank there at all.

Looks very nice, trimless tanks have a clean appearance to them. Well aquascaped too. I sure hope that betta isn't a jumper, I don't trust mine enough to not keep a lid on the tank.

Thanks for the comments! Also, should have said, this was a normal 2.5g tank that got from petco for like $12. I removed the trim myself as an experiment, and have been very happy with how it came out! Honestly I wouldn't even consider not removing the trim on any smaller tank that I do in the future. It was a couple hours of work but WELL worth it.

Looks great.

But I see no heater for your guy. I would recommend a heater. Bettas like their warm bathwater. :)

Tank is beautiful, and what a handsome little guy! You did a great job in removing the trim! If you didn't say you did that, I'd have never guessed it had any trim on it originally.

I agree with ArkD'Julie. I was about to ask you where you got such a nice seamless tank 'cause I know my Petco sure didn't have anything like it. Really nice job. Beautiful aquascaping, too.
