Compatibility questions

I have an established 55 gallon tank. In there are two golden gouramis, both females. They are pretty nice to each other and don't bother the other fish.

Wonder about adding more female gouramis. Thinking of a pearl. Also thinking of female dwarves. Thoughts?

I have a 55 set up with Platinum and Pearl Females And one male Pearl They get a long fine. I have never put Dwarves with any thing but Dwarves. Don't no how that wioul work out. Was always told never to mix them. So I just never did it.

Don't add any other fish other than Gold Gouramis. Golds are the meanest fish ever. They will fight with anything else that you add to the tank often times killing the other fish. How long have they been in the tank? They are often calm and do not fight for a couple of weeks once they get put in a new tank, but after that watch out they are crazy. My friend had Golds and Blues in the same tank and he called them raciest. They hated the other colors.
If they do fight have a spare tank handy and you can put them in there for a couple of weeks (sort of like a time out), and then return them to the main tank. You will probably have to do this every few weeks, but hey it works.

I personally prefer Opalines. They are very beautiful and have mild temperaments as far a Gouramis go.
