Has anyone been to this forum? It seems to me that they have ripped off our forum styling... or maybe I am just crazy.. IDK.... heh

We have members that go to other sites and gather information from all over. For this reason it's not good to slam other sites as the news gets carried back and then this site gets a bad rep.

But I have to agree, we have the bestest in the westest.

I would have to agree. Appart from a select few Norwegian and German forums, this is the best general aquarium community I've been able to find :)

i am a member of more than 100 fish forums.

and if i do say so myself, this is the best i had ever seen.

the worst forum, i had ever seen , is one here in nova scotia.
it is bad.

but we should not bad mouth other forum.

I've been to most of the aquarium forums, I think there were a few forums that had more people then AC, but they were messed up, they were filled with spam, the only i can see there is OSCAR FOR SALE, or 100 GALLON FOR SALE. AC has the best style, easy navigation, good information, and last but not least, AMAZING people.

We get our share of spammers, as well. Not as much as before since William changed the registering process to include more information but people would rather register time and again than pay for an ad.

Actually, we have more TROLLS than spammers. Those who just like to join to act stupid and cause a stink. I deleted in one day 8......rather certain it was the same person over and over again or kids that were friends just trying to be cute. I have more respect for the spammers. They enter with one thought.....to sell something.....then leave. The Trolls upset the whole community with their nonsense and will post over and over.

Our member list is for 8608 members but our active list is 733. Any time anyone come in and posted a spam or a troll, their name went on the member list and remained there. Even those that might have posted 6 years ago one time.......or never. I notice that other forums will delete you from the member list if you haven't posted within 6 months to keep that list down. I think that should also be adapted here, as well.

most forum that i am the member of , want as many names as they can get. that way they seem bigger than they are. plus most that i on will not remove your name, because you have not been on.
