Last night while looking on my local Craigslist, I came across this and had to take it. This is what I got for...... $20!

10g glass tank
5g glass tank
Coralife Mini-Aqualight With 1-9W Actinic / 1-9W 10,000K Lamp
2- Aquaclear 10 Powerheads
Fission Nano Skimmer
2- Whisper In Tank Filter 10i
Eclipse Workstation Light w/ 6400K Bulb
Elite 799 Air Pump
Coralife 50/50 10w screw in type light
2- 4-Way Gang Valves with tubing
Coralife Power Center Day-Night Timer or Wave-Maker Timer
Magnafloat
Thermometer
2- Suncrylic clear .093"x12"x24"

Now I've got a few questions....
-What would the ideal set up be using these items, I can add on as well
-What don't I need out of this
-Any advice as to what I need as far as live rock and live sand

I did watch the video on YouTube, which was pretty informative, I've set up my 60g before, but I know with a small 10g tank, things are gonna need to be set up perfectly. Thanks!

Are you interested in selling the nano skimmer?

No, I want to set this tank up, which would require using that. I'm sorry.

As I've said, I can't help too much without seeing everything...but maybe I can get you started...

10 lbs sand...doesn't need to be live
10-15 lbs live rock...depends on how pourous it is...the more pourous the better...if you're cramped for space...stick with 10 lbs...

10 g - display tank
5 g - sump
both powerheads and nano skimmer in display tank...although the skimmer could go in the sump I think...
The larger light for the display...is there a hood for the light?
The smaller light for the nano...

I think one pump for each tank...

You'll have to figure out the tubing and valves...

Run it all so one pump pulls water into the sump and the other pump pulls the water back into the main tank...heater goes in the sump...

Not sure what the air pump does...unless you need it to draw water from one tank or the other...

Where are the pros? Am I wrong on any of this?

The skimmer might need the air pump to work but I'm just guessing on that!! I think Rue pretty much got it right and I would put the skimmer in the sump too...why clutter up the display if you don't have to.
Just remember to go slowly and don't overstock! I'm sure you will enjoy this tank!!

I gotta tell you Slingham64 you got an awesome deal on that!! :19:
You're gonna post pictures when you get it set up, right? :c3:

dont be dissapointed when that skimmer doesnt do anytihng...you would be able to keep any corals with that lighting thats only 18 watts pluss actinic doesnt do much, i suggest 10 g display 7-10lbs sand, 15-20lbs liverock, 5 gallon refugium with cheato, with a pair of percs for stocking

What's the best method for that 5 gallon refugium? Cause on my 60 gallon I tried setting up a refugium and flooded my kitchen. Does it involve using those 4-way gang valves or are those pointless. And what's a cheato. I'm sorry about not getting pics up guys, in the middle of moving and don't have my cam unpacked yet.
