Im thinking about useing flower pots to put some plant in our pond, but i im not sure what kind to use? IS there brands that can't be used in ponds and if so what one's?

i wouldnt put any pots that are glazed or painted in a pond. i dont know if theyre chemically inert or not though.

standard terracotta should work fine, same with the standard black plastic ones some plants come in

Glazed would be OK, not painted though. Plastic is Ok too. I used to do pots but since have gone to planting directly in the bottom pea gravel. The plants have grown better and have more root growth, possible from being able to adsorb more nutrients from fish waste that settles there and better circulation of oxygen through the gravel.

I have a small planted tank and starting out plants in the plastic pots works well but after they've had some root development and I move them into the actual gravel they do much better.
