View Full Version : CO2 diffuser placement

hey everyone,
I've just put a DIY CO2 reactor I made from following forum directions into my tank. I've just got one question: Where is the best spot in the tank to put the diffuser? Mid level, lower level of the tank? I'm using a glass bell diffuser if that helps in answering the question.
I'm asking as I'm wondering if one place is better over another for getting the CO2 spread throughout the tank
Thanks in advance! :22:

Lower. CO2 is naturally go to go to the surface and off-gas into the atmosphere. The lower you place the diffuser, the longer that process will take.

Thank you very much. I'm going to put a longer bit of air tubing on there in the morning (as the tank lights are now off) and put it towards the bottom of the tank. Thanks again! :22:
