Well recently I upgraded from a 10 gallon tank to a 29 gallon.
The tank has two Aqua-Tech Power filters installed, one for a 10-15 gallon and the other for a 20-40 gallon. Plus I have a large heater in the tank set to about 78. An air pump & bubble stone as well.
In the way of stocking here is what I have....
Four Mollies.
One Platy.
Two Guppies.
One common pleco.
One albino choclate pleco.
Some mystery snails.
Some ghost shrimp.
A small red crab.
Plus the tank has two live plants in it.
Well I had two medium-sized Angelfish in the tank as well, when I bought them they seemed quite healthy. As weeks passed I noticed that whenever it was feeding time the Angelfish would not bother to eat. It didn't really seem like they were being beaten out by the Mollies or other fish,it was as though they just didn't seem interested in the food at all. It was like they ignored it whenever I put foot into the tank. The fish foods I've been using are regular tropical flakes, brine shrimp pellets, and some freeze-dried bloodworms.
Just about a week ago I found that both Angels had died. I have no idea why.
Do they require a special type of food or was it maybe some other variable that lead to their death?
P.S All the other fish & inverts and eating regularly and doing great without any problems.
