Snail....

What would cause a snail to die?
Mine has been sitting in the exact same spot for the past 2 days at the bottom of my tank face down. I am assuming it's dead.

I also can't find my other smaller oto.

Snails may starve to death.
Lift it up and if it hangs out of its shell then its dead.

Sometimes fish just kill them.

Well what exactly do the snails eat?

And I found my other oto!!! he was dead on top of a leaf that comes out of my tank!

snails will eat algae and other detrius.

try supplimenting with algae wafers, pure spriulina is best but they will probably even go for the stuff thats got protien in it too.

Sorry to hear about your oto! They need supplimental food also. A healthy oto should be fat, but not obese. A bit of a belly bulge though.

What are your levels at - the oto may have died long enough ago to put a good spike into your ammonia level.

There is PLENTY of algae in my tank lol it is starting to go away but I think thats cuz my fish are picking at it and it's breaking off my plants and going into the filter.

And robbie it was dead like 2 days ago and I just did a water test and still 0 ammonia 0 nitrite
