I am on pins and needles right now. I just stocked my tank.
The gold gourami seems to have an attitude all ready. I saw it chase a couple of neons pretty aggresively.
Hopefully it will calm down I know it is probably nervous as am I.

Don't count on it. The golds and blues (3-spot) can be rather aggressive. Hopefully he'll calm down.

What would you suggest as a nice wow fish for my 46 Lady Hobbs if my gourami does not work out?

I get my WOW from big schools of small fish so probably not the one to ask. I love to see a whole mass of the same kinds of fish all swimming together. Neon rainbows, rasbora, rummynose, cardinals, neons, etc, but schools of about 30.
I recently picked up some cherry barbs and they are nice, too, but I need more of them. The males are very red and very pretty. Not what you were asking, I know.

A pearl gourami makes a great center piece fish and they are pretty mild mannered. But don't put a pearl in with a gold or you could have issues between the two. Give the gold a chance to settle down as LH suggested.
An angel fish won't work with neons. The neons will eventually become angel snacks.

The gourami is going back tomorrow. I really enjoy the neons and corys and the bristle nose. The gourami is a bully towards the other fish.
I am going to replace the gourami with a few hatchet fish.
I had a heck of a time catching the gourami in my tank.
He is in a large breeder net box now.
I thought I did my research well but I did not.
Lesson learned. (blush)

If you really like gouramis. you might be better off with a pearl. In my experience they are more peaceful than the other types. I also think they are the best looking.

Great idea KF! Wish I'd thought of it first. :shappy:

Redbull, its best to start a new thread if you have questions rather than dig up old ones. Youll get more answers that way, and resurrecting/ thread hi-jacking tends to rub members the wrong way.
