Now that I have the back of my tank all black from felt I have hanging in the back of the tank, the air tube going to my sponge filter and the two intake tubes from my HOB AC and Rena blue intake tube stand out like a sore thumb. Is there a safe way to paint those guys? a certain spray paint you can get that's safe? or other? I have been hiding them behind my fake plants, but I'd like to black them out. I did a search, couldn't find what people do, so thought I'd ask :)

You can get a black airline tubing...there is a paint you can use too, but i'm unfamiliar with it sorry

You may want to confirm it with the MSDS but I do believe that Krylon fusion is non toxic. The Black airline tubing ([Only Registered Users Can See Links.]) is readily available.

yup, Krylon fusion's what I used. I used it on PVC, not flexible tubing, so I'm not sure how well it will work for your air line tubing, but it should be just fine for your filter pipes. Use many light coats rather than fewer thick ones.

ok I like the flat black, so there is less reflection of light off of it. I'll paint the intake tubes, and replace the clear air tubing with black tube, and let you guys see how it ends up.
