Got a small problem......... I have been using feeder guppies (that I breed myself) as a mobile food source/dither fish in my 180 w/ my baby Jaguar cichilds( I also now have a few small Jack Dempseys in there). Problem is, I recently hooked up a wet/dry filter, & they are winding up in the sump the next day, after I turn off the lights @ night. Looks like they are going down the overflow box. It's a real pain in the a%* trying to get them out, so is there any way to prevent this from happening w/out affecting the flow rate of the wet/dry?

Can you post a pic of your overflow box?

I'm not currently @ home, but it's your standard o/f box w/ small grooves @ top of box. I will attempt to post picture when I get home.

Mine uses a debris screen(maybe 1/4" plastic garden mesh) to stop anything from going down. Also a screen or sponge over your bulkhead will help.
I use a CPR OF box so thats what I am going off of, I know others are different.

I kept losing my dither fish in my reef ready 210, I had to wrap the durso intakes with panty hose to keep the fish atleast in the overflows.

Cool. Thanks for the info. Do you ever have problems w/ flow rates or clogging? (The mesh getting clogged) I will go to hardware store & get some mesh, as I really want to keep the guppies in there, so the Jags can focus their aggression on the guppies & not each other. They REALLY have an intense dislike for one another!!
