A Freaking Snail???....

Hi guys,

well i been at home all afternoon (got sent home from work ill) and as you do i have been chilling out watching my tank...

and i have noticed that there is a tiny little snail that has quite litterally appeared from no where...

is this normal? where has the little guy come from???

hitchhiked on with your live plants, either as a tiny baby or an egg. Pretty much guaranteed that when you get plants, you get snails, unless you dip the plants in something to kill them first.

oh right...well lets hope he is enjoying it in there then...do i need to feed him anything else or will he do just fine with the plants etc? he wont do the fish any harm will he?

he won't harm the fish. He'll eat whatever scraps he can find. He may eat the plant, depending on the exact species. You may also have a snail population explosion if there's enough food to support one.

He will scrounge around and have plenty to eat, You don't need to do a thing & he won't hurt anyone.

Well he ain't doing me no harm...so good luck to him...and if theres more of them...then fair play to them...they got a free ride out of the LFS...sorry but I don't know what exact plants I have...they were old stock at the shop and they were free :)
