Breeding Beta

1. How do we detect if the Female is pregnant ? (other than the fact that I saw my female's belly is bigger, and fatter ???)
2. And, when she is pregnant, how do we know she is ready to be mated ?

a betta female is ready to mate with the male when on it`s body appear a few stripes and she is more colourfull.when she sees the male she will increase her colour level and the stripes will appear.at first she will be shy and will run away form the male while he is builiding the nest.after that she will come closer to the male and they will begin the spawning,it`s a very interesting behaviour.good luck if you want to reproduce betta!!!hope you will succeed:ezpi_wink1:
