Finally got two projects done and about tired of the mess in my tiny apartment!
As you know, I had the frame built by my ex but I did the rest.
I had this table in my bedroom so moved it out of there, cut 4 inches off the legs, sanded and painted it and now am using it for my TV. My entertainment center was blocking the air conditioner so that problem is now solved and I have room to put another smaller fish tank on the TV stand as well. Moving this table from my bedroom now frees up more room in there for another tank as well.

Is this illness incurable?
I am not thrilled with the paint. I asked for black, the can says black but it is more of a steel gray than black but looks more gray in the camera flash than in real life so I can live with it.
Stand as it started. Stand completed. And TV stand. Not too bad for an old broad with not many tools. I do have a top for the stand all painted and ready to use but don't know as I need it. It's ready to go if I change my mind.
cocoa_pleco........I cut my fingers 4 times!
And I did this without beer!

I had saw dust on my couch, paint on the carpeting, stuff everywhere. I'm just happy to be able to walk thru the room without tripping on something. But boy....my apartment is getting smaller by the minute. LOL

Lol, you are free now! Was making your own stand cheaper than buying one?
I am in AWE! Can't do stuff like that at all! Congrats!

I am planning on taking that anubia out of the pot and anchoring it to that taller driftwood on the right.

I thought you were buying it for me. Don't tell me I have to buy the tank too. ppttfff!
What a week here. First I got a case of the hives from hell. Got rid of them after 5 days and now both corners of my lips are slip open from eating a tomato. And I must have 10 cuts on my finger tips from something. Don't know what. I'm a mess waiting to happen.

Nice looking tank, Zachish. And it's black! I never saw black paint look gray before but mine sure does. It will probably drive me nuts and I'll repaint it.

Thanks, hopefully me and chrona will get my DIY C02 built sometime this weekend and I can put the 65 watt light on. Once I do that and get some ferts I will post a pic about 2 weeks later and the plants will be twice as big....right now I am in the middle of reading the estimative index article about dosing my plants. I don't know if any of you are that into planted tanks though.

I have a hardwood stand. If I build one then I am gonna probably get like walnut and just stain it. I am thinking of building one though for a 30 gallon.

That's what mine is, a 30 gallon. I could have used 2x4's but I just did 4x4's so I could stand on top of it as well :c12:

Today I've decided to get different paint. This darned paint was $30 a gallon but I want BLACK! LOL
May as well go for the look you really want...
...I'd be tempted to take the paint back and complain...that wasn't your fault...

It's fun trying to type today with 5 bandaids on my finger tips. They get stuck to the keyboard. LOL Don't know where all the cuts come from unless it was that sandpaper. OUCH!
The guy mixed this paint and he didn't do it right, for sure.

Sure you could. Don't think I don't make my mistakes! I must have stripped 5 screws because I couldn't put them in straight. All the prices were square so it wasn't hard.
