Last night I was doing some cleaning/feeding in the snake room and got to watch 3 of our snakes shed. We also have 3 others that are going into shed now!

I actually had to help my Bumblebee Ball Python shed. The shed was coming off perfectly (I raise humidity during sheds) but it seemed to have rolled as she was working it off and it started to constrict around her mid section. I actually had to gently slide a pair of scissors under the rolled up shed and snip it, then helped her work it the rest of the way off. You could actually see where she had a bright pink ring were the shed was stuck...It must have hurt! I have only seen this one other time since I have been keeping snakes.

The other two snakes shed with no problems and I decided to snap a quick pic of our Super Salmon Het Sunglow Boa during her shed. She is growing so fast!!!

Cool! thumbs2:

I'm glad you managed to get the skin off the other snake before it did any damage.

We managed to watch Ling shed the last time too...I often catch a bit of it, but this time we got to watch for about 30 minutes and saw 2/3 of the process...quite amazing at how fast some of it zipped off...

Out of all of my snakes, I rarely get to see a complete shed process and I got to see it 3 times yesterday...I just thought it was pretty cool!
