here in nova scotia. when the pet shop bring their order of fish in. the lot of times their tanks is to full of fish. but they are selling from them tanks. so in a day or so there is alot less, in eash tanks. it is not good for the fish.

with that many fish how can you possibly follow advice on choosing the healthiest fish - you can't even see them swimming by the looks of things!

Barbaric, just appalling, if someone did that to puppies there would be an outcry and boycot, the RSPCA would be all over that place in a nano second, it would be on the news and the owners would be shamed, but because they 'are only fish' no one seems to give a damn (except all of us guys and gals) tis about time fish got the clean end of the stick, instead of the mucky one, just my 2 pennies worth, I feel better now *Breathes*

corycat, what do you think of keeping male betta in the 1/2 cup of water? i do not like it , and will not do it. but all others pet shop in canada do it. do they do this in the UK.

05-13-2006, 03:37 AM
They do that just about everywhere. It is a little less common in northern europe but there are still some stores that do it even if they usally have about 2-3 cups water over there.
