It's called "Cycle" and it's made by Nutrafin. I got it in a box of free things when i bought my used tanks today.
Is this stuff any good, or should I stick with the cycling method that I've used in the past?
I also have a few other things that I'm not sure of:
Liquid food for fry (Wardley's SmallFry?)
Spirulina Pellets
Krill Pellets
Anti-bacterial fish food
Iodine Tincture?!?!
and I also got a brand-new bottle of Melafix! WOOT!

Cycle does not work at all. Stick with what you have done that works.

Thanks guys! I'll trash that one!
Cycle may or may not work...
I use it...hve for years...I figure it does something, because I do have less issues when I use it than when I don't...
...at the very least...you know it won't hurt...
What products such as "Cycle" do is more or less allow you to cycle your tank using fish, "Cycle" more or less minimizes any stress and protects your fish against the ammonnia and nitrite spikes while the tank is cycling the natural way (read using fish).
Personally, I've never used it. I've been using Seachem's Stability for quite awhile now and have had fantastic results with it. Although there are many skeptics about this product on this site ( :ezpi_wink1: ) it does work very well if you cycle your tank with fish or without fish.

Yes it does!! I used it and followed the directions and voila, my tank cycled within a week. I have no trites, 5 trates, and no NH3.... whooo!!!

Like everyone else here, I think you should stick with your cycling method. Cycle isn't terribly effective, but it may speed up your current cycling method by a little bit, as it does provide a small amount of bacteria. It is more effective if you add it directly to the filter rather than adding it to the water. The effect is probably no more than what you would get from adding some substrate from another tank and can't be compared to adding filtermedia from a cycled tank.
"Cycle" does add beneficial bacteria as well, how much and how effective I couldn't say since as I posted above, I've never used it. I did talk to a friend of mine at her LFS and she says that it works quite well. If you have it, and an empty tank, try it out and see what happens, no harm in that.
