I have some great SA cichlids available, even have the first pair of the juvies established now, with more to come. They're oroginally from Uruguay, but unlike the Gymnogeophagus they don't require a winter cooldown period. Haven't been imported for some years because nobody can find them to collect more, so these are aquarium-bred through multiple generations. Very mellow fish, play well with anything (too big to eat) but rival oblongums once they pair off. Males max out around 6", females closer to 4.5". Even a spawning pair isn't any problem for other species, but you would need to move them to their own tank to raise fry. The second pics of each were from the 29 they spawned in, no light aside from the camera flash.
