Sorry to offend anyone if I talk about my fish and have questions about her care, but I have to ask them...
Anywho, I had that tank issue last night and I know for sure that has eaten over 4-5 shrimp (Amanos) and I am missing a baby platy too. I know she was eyeballing that platy last night.
Can she overeat and get sick? Her stomach is bulged way out. She is swimming fine and all, but seriously, I hope she doesnt get a blockage or something like that. Should I wait a few days to feed her, or just go about how I usually care for her? WIll there be any problems with her eating four to five large shrimps all in a matter of hours??

I'd skip feeding for a day if not 2. Oscars will eat anything that will fit in their mouths.

I don't think your fish will eat till it dies but when feeding live you should always wait a few days between feedings.
Pellet food is a much better diet.

LOL! She eats pellets- New Life Spectrum Cichlid and other things that Oscars normally eat. This is a fluke where she got access to All those shrimp. I posted about a tank catastrophe I had yesterday where my livebearer/shrimp tank sprang a leak and I had to move everyone into that tank overnight...Shes not normaly allowed to eat like she did...

The oscar will see anything in the tank as food if it fits it's mouth.
I hope you get at least a 75 for the O. Its a good fit.

+1 to this, Sweet pea is living in a buffet at the moment.

As previous posters have said two days w/o food is not an excessive fast especially considering her diet lately.

Yeah she is. She is very lethargic today LOL! Shes kinda just swimming around kinda quietly. Then when she sees me she still begs for food, but I dont cave in and she eventually stops begging LOL!

She acts like she is STARVING to DEATH.

Yep, That never changes lol.

They have nothing better to do all day than practice that move & they get an [Ahem] "Oscar winning performance" down pretty quick. :14:
