I got a bunch of plants yesterday and got too excited and missed the names of one and the other 2 were labeled as assorted potted plants. Any help you guys can give will be much appreciated :ssmile:

The first one I need help ID'ing is the tall green and white grass in the back

This is the second one

This is the 3rd one I need help with

Thanks in advance guys!

The first looks like Dracena. If it is, it's actually an emerged plant and won't grow underwater.

The second looks like a crypt of some sort, maybe C. wendtii. The third, Echinodorus parviflorus?

That would be just like me to go into Petsmart complaining that they sold me a non aquatic plant and then turn around and buy a few more lol...not sure about the second but I think you might be right with the third one. Thanks Sasquatch! :22:

The first one is a type of grass that doesn't do well underwater. You'll actually start seeing it at your local home improvement store in the garden section as the weather gets warmer. I would put it in with your mondo grass from last time. :hmm3grin2orange:

The second is definitly some type of crypt but it'll be hard to tell which one until it gets a little bigger

I've never seen the third but given it's leaf structure I question if it's really an underwater plant. I've never seen any underwater plant with leaves that large except for anubias which it clearly isn't.

In the future you might consider buying plants online so you know they are real aquarium plants. The problem with Petco/Petsmart is that they sell plants for both aquariums and terrariums but they don't label them to tell the customers which is which.

ugh such disappointment! Guess I better start a garden outside for all the plants I buy for my aquarium huh? I feel so stupid now...:scry:
