a ph of 6.0 may be low, depending on what fish you decide to get.

nitrite very bad for fish, it can kill them.
nitrate, i do not worry about that. by doing your weekly water changing, will keep that under control.
your tank will have to cycle, that can take up to 1 month or more.
so do not put too many fish in your tank, untill it cycle.

Download the free e-book in the menu to the left, it has very good info.
Since the tank is only 20 gallons, this will restrict to the smaller fishes.
There are gouramis, tetras, rasboras, barbs(not tnfoil), corys, danios etc.

if that white stone is what i think it is , it will bring the ph up. i can not get them here.lol
as far as fish goes, maybe you tell us what you like. then we can give better advice. ok.lol

well the white stone aint the stuff you get from pablo escabar or the fish would be flying fish lol , now back to reality i want nice colourful fish that doesnt eat all the other ones , i was given an already established the last time i had one , went to a fish dealer told him i had a community tank , he sold me an angel fish and two fish that looked like upside down locust with trap jaws that just floated along the top and ate anything that would fit in there mouths and they were ugly fish in to the bargain

the 2 upside down fish sound very mean, not sure what they was.
most petshop will sell you anything. they want your money.
your tank is only big enought for at most 2 angel fish.
angel fish will get as big as your hand, or bigger.lol
to begin with i would only get 2 or 3 fish. then once your tank is cycle, you can get more.

many thanks for the help rollie , do you think i should let the water cycle for a few days then try some danios as i said before this is the 1st time ive ran the pumps and the heaters or should i wait a few days take out some water refresh test the water again then add some danios and can anyone let me know what i should do with nutrafin aqua plus and nutrafin cycle????
rollie

nutrafin agua plus is the same as stress coat. it make the water older.and do away with alot of bad stuff that in the water. i would used it.
nutrafin cycle is suppose to make your tank cycle faster. it a waste of good money. but it will do no harm to use it, if you want to.
in the few days, test your water and if all is fine add a few danios. sound like the good plan.lol

also test your water for ammonia. ammonia is very bad for fish. but your ammonia will or should go up, then it will go down.

Hello and welcome! Rollie's given you plenty of good advice already, so I can add much more, except to say that taking things slowly is the curse of this hobby but it means success in the long run...
As for fish, less is more in my personal opinion...
there are lots of good people and good advice here!

The upside down locusts that floated on top of the tank and ate anything that would fit in their mouths were African Butterfly Fish
