I bought some of those walmart bulbs a while back. Took what I thought was all of them out because they were rotting and getting a white fuzz on them. Well I guess I missed one because one is sprouting up between my dragon's toes.

Those bulb packages can be really hit or miss, I've had some that do great and others that just rot as well.

lol I had them in a tank with my betta for about 4 weeks, then they were moved to my big tank and the one that sprouted probably took another 3 weeks. SO probably about 7-8 weeks for mine. All of a sudden yesterday I saw what looked like 2 strands of grass about 1 1/2 inches long. Today they are about 2 inches long. And I mean "all of a sudden" very literally. There was absolutely nothing the day before yesterday and then the next day there they were all of a sudden. Now Im kinda bummed I threw all the rest away. Just be patient with them. Good luck!:ssmile:

Well, it's been 6 days since my aponogeton seed sprouted, every morning I wake up to at least one more leaf, here's how she looks now! Pretty quick huh...not quite sure why its growing sideways, I would suspect light, but the position of the dragon isnt limiting the plants light, perhaps the position of the seed?
