Sweet Pea is eating out of my hand now!!!!

It was so cool, she was having a Krill treat (Hikari) and I held it there for her, and she came up and was taking it right from my hand! :1luvu: :1luvu: :1luvu: So COOL!!!! Ive never been able to do this before!!!!

How old is it? My ABF took forever to trust me enough to eat out of my hand. And if I make the slightest movement he swims away.

Shes only about 2 inches now. Im not sure how old that is (???). She was happy to eat from my hand and my boyfriend came over to see and she swam away and wouldnt do it till he left the room, then she came right back to munching!!! LOL!

Be careful though. I was hand-feeding my buddy's oscar (he must've been aound 8 inches at the time) and he got so excited he nearly jumped out of the tank trying to get to the food.

I dont regret anything about finding homes for the other tropical fish. She is totally awesome!!!!! Shes a great little (soon to be HUGE) fish!!!

Mine used to let me hand feed him when he was younger but once he reached a certain age/size, he stopped. Which may be a good thing because not too long ago, I was doing some cleaning and while moving a rock, he came over, looked at my hand then proceeded to bite me. And yeah, it stung a little. LOL "Don't mess with my stuff."

Let me tell you, she is the MOST AWESOME fish ever. She really is like a puppy right now. She shows this great personality and she will show off to me for food. When she seems me so go absolutely crazy swimming around looking at me for attention (and food LOL) I cant wait till she gets bigger. Seriously GREAT fish!!!

What a cute little spoiled fishy! I'll bet she's becoming quite the diva. Pampered and affectionate. Our pets aren't dumb. They know how to get exactly what they want from us.

My goldies put on the "scared little fishies" act while at the same time eagerly chowing down on the food I give them. They have no problem coming right to the surface to eat their flakes or pellets when I'm right there looking down at them, but as soon as I put my hand into their water, they dash away as though a hungry shark was after them. I've only had them since last July!

Your fishy has the life of Riley, and I think she knows it. Lucky little Oscar.
