I've always shopped at petsmart for my fish and walmart for my tank parts. Today I was on my lunch break and decided to go to this fish store right by my work.
First impression when I parked was the 45 gallon tank and the 88 gallon tank for sale each a $1 per gallon standing outside. Once I stepped in I looked to my right and there was saltwater fish tanks, I was dissapointed with their amount of tanks (about 20-30) same as Petsmart. They did have tons of LR for $6 or $9 a pound, can't remember cause I have freshwater only and didnt pay much attention.. Then I saw this doorway to the left and low and behold they have an entire seperate section of nothing but freshwater tanks that I didn't even notice, and wow was I impressed! So many tanks I couldnt keep count (like 80). I can see now that I've been missing out just going to petsmart, if only I had a fish store near my house. In the main area was the fish foods and filters/light bulbs, and alot of room was filled with aquariums and aquarium kits. My fish have ick so I bought some medicine and some bloodworms then I was out of there. I'm soo happy, the employees where knowlegable they explained to me that when using this medicine for Ick to take out all carbon from my filters until i'm done treating... BOY I wouldn't of done that if she didn't tell me... What a enjoying experience!
