I have used peroxide in a dropper applied to anubias in the past to kill algae but it takes a lot of applications so I took a short-cut. I removed the anubias from the tank and dosed it with peroxide letting it remain for 3 minutes then replaced in the tank. AND managed to kill about 20 leaves.
It certainly killed the algae but my short-cut did more harm than good. Guess that wasn't such a hot idea after all.
...I'm glad you're doing the experimenting for us! thumbs2:

At least you didn't forget to take your Top Fin tube of Amazon Swords out of the effin' plastic bag for a day! I have one that survived and one that I'm trying to revive...d'oh! Plants need light...what 6-year-old doesn't know that? And I'm getting my biology degree in a semester and a half!

It's on order as we speak. I just got too rambunctious and wanted the algae gone now.
